Dr. Mahara has received DMD from UBC. His professional background includes continuing training at the “UBC School of Dentistry”; world-renowned the “Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies” and the “Spear Education”.
He is “Invisalign” certified; has an advanced training in TMD; Full mouth rehabilitation; Smile Make-overs; sleep dentistry; CEREC CAD-CAM, and Implants.
Dr. Mahara is passionate about serving his patients to the highest possible standards utilizing the most modern and up to date treatment methods. To meet this goal, he continues to hone his skills by taking part on extensive continuing education in advanced dental care practices.

Dr. Mahara is proud to call Nanaimo his “home” and grateful to serve the community since 2004, where he has raised his three children. He lives with his wife for 28 years. His favourite pastime is to go for a walk with their two dogs, Benji and Cashew.
