Does Invisalign require many trips to the dental office?

Under normal circumstances, you’ll only have to visit Dr. Mahara, in his Nanaimo dental clinic every 6 weeks. You can always check in with our clinic if you have questions, but the process does not require as many visits as you may have guessed.

How often can the Invisalign aligners be removed?

In order for the Invisalign aligners to be effective, they must be worn for a minimum of 22 hours each day.  This gives you up to 2 hours per day to remove your Invisalign aligners to eat, brush, floss, make an important speech or smile for an important photo.

How long is the Invisalign treatment process?

Not every Invisalign patient will have the same set of circumstance.  In general however, treatment takes about a year for adults. For teenagers using Invisalign, the length of their orthodontic treatment is about the same length of time as traditional braces would have taken.
